Read more slowly, to understand more deeply.
You do not need to remember an entire book. Sometimes one idea that stays is enough.
Some books are read quickly and forgotten just as quickly. Other pages make us pause, write another question, and carry it into a conversation days later.
For me, reading deeply does not necessarily mean reading fewer pages. It means creating a pause. After each chapter, close the book and write one idea in your own words. If you cannot yet express it, that is a reason to return, not to blame yourself.
Another small habit is to connect what you have read to a real situation. How does this idea change the way you ask questions? What might you try tomorrow?
A book is not a list to complete. It can be a place to return with a different question.
